Famous US TV host and comedian Conan O'Brien has been spending time in the West this week as he retraces his ancestral roots.
The 60-year-old Massachusetts native made pitstops in Galway, Dublin and Limerick while filming for his new travel show 'Conan O’Brien Must Go', as he maps out his Irish family heritage.
Conan made a stop in Loughrea where he sampled the famous black pudding from Loughnane's Butchers.
"We were delighted to welcome comedy and all-round legend, Conan O'Brien and his crew to Loughnanes Butcher Shop last night!" Loughnane's said on Facebook.

"Travelling around Ireland for his new TV Show, Conan is showcasing the best that our unique nation has to offer including attractions, history, and our favourite – FOOD! We were honoured to showcase the history of the Loughnane Family made Black Pudding and Sausage for Conan and the team AND of course he had to have a chat with Pat before he did the taste test! What a great experience and a joy to demonstrate how the Traditional Family Butchers in Ireland stay true to their generational roots to produce these much-loved products.

"Thanks for visiting guys, we can’t wait to see the finished product – John & Team at Loughnanes".
