'Exciting new project' - Mayo park set for upgrades

Princess Grace Park in Newport is set for upgrades, and the community is invited to share their ideas on how the park can be improved.

Spearheading the initiative is Newport and District Development Company, Newport Tidy Towns and Newport Business Association.

The Newport Mayo Facebook post reads: “Newport is about to embark on an exciting new project to enhance Princess Grace Park in the Quay area, and we want your input!

“Whether you are a local resident, a business owner, or a visitor, your vision for the future of Princess Grace Park, on potential improvements such as recreational facilities, landscaping, accessibility, and sustainability efforts is invaluable in shaping the future of this beloved green space.” 

If you have any suggestions, message the Newport Mayo Facebook page, email tourism@newportmayo.ie, or slip your idea into one of the suggestion boxes located at the Newport Tourist Office. Input is welcome until October 31.
