Councillor wants Citylink bus service from Westport

Westport councillor Cllr Brendan Mulroy has criticised the lack of a Citylink bus service in Westport to take passengers to Dublin Airport.
Cllr Mulroy told last week's meeting of Mayo Co Council that Citylink was to launch a service from Westport to Dublin Airport "but they have reneged on that".
"So basically, what they are doing is bringing people from all over West Mayo to a bus-stop in Castlebar that is not fit for purpose. Why don’t Citylink provide that service in Westport town, also in Newport and Louisburgh, instead of bringing people over to Castlebar and all the petrol and diesel to get there. I am very disappointed with Citylink.”
