EasyGo, the company that provides a network of car charging points around Mayo, has been requested to visit Killala and Ballycastle to identify suitable charging points.
Senior engineer with the Ballina Municipal District Vincent O’Boyle said that installing electric car charging points requires collaboration between the ESB, Mayo County Council and EasyGo.
Cllr Jarlath Munnelly called for these works at last Wednesday’s meeting of the municipal district. He suggested that it would make sense to install these charging points in any of the local car parks or on the main street in Ballycastle.
