Two talented Mayo sports people recently graduated from ATU.

Boxer, Bethany Doocey from Keelogues, Co Mayo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Care from ATU.

Bethany Doocey, a sports scholar, who won boxing intervarsity three years in a row and has been selected for Ireland on several occasions, twice for the Irish Universities team in the Haringey Box cup in the UK, and most recently for the Irish under 22 team for the European Championships in Hungary. Bethany has been selected to train in the IABA High Performance Unit in Dublin to help her on her path to the next Olympic cycle.

Talented footballer Anna Tuohy, from Castlebar, graduated from ATU with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychiatric Nursing.

Anna Tuohy, Castlebar, Co Mayo was an ATU sports scholar for Ladies Gaelic Football, she was part of the winning team that won the All-Ireland League and Championship double in 2022. Anna graduates from ATU with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychiatric Nursing.
