Collins family issue fresh appeal for missing Sandra

Sandra Collins.
The family of missing Mayo woman Sandra Collins have issued a fresh appeal for information regarding her disappearance almost 25 years ago.
Sandra was 28 years old when she went missing from Killala on December 4, 2000. She was last seen at approximately 11pm at the Country Kitchen premises on George’s Street.
At the time, she was wearing black boots, black pants, a beige sleeveless top and a maroon/beige sleeveless fleece jacket.
Sandra’s family have continuously worked hard to keep her case in the spotlight. Her brother Patrick told the Western People that the Collins family are encouraged to see progress being made in other cases such as that of Annie McCarrick.
A man was arrested last week on suspicion of the murder of Ms McCarrick, a 26-year-old American woman who went missing from Dublin in March 1993. He was later released without charge.
Mr Collins said they are renewing their appeal to members of the public to come forward with any piece of information they feel might be relevant to the ongoing investigation.
“It is never too late for people to come forward with information that can help us to bring Sandra home,” he said.
“We have never stopped fighting and we continue to work with the Gardaí to find Sandra.”
He said the family’s one wish is to be able to bring Sandra home and bury her.
“It is our mission, all of the family, to finally reunite Sandra with Mam and Dad and James,” he said.
