BREAKING: Two more seats filled in Mayo General Election constituency

Outgoing TDs Alan Dillon (Fine Gael) and Dara Calleary (Fianna Fáil) have secured the second and third seats in the Mayo constituency of the General Election. They follow Sinn Féin's Rose Conway-Walsh after she took the first seat earlier this morning.
Both retained their seats on the eighth count with Dillon exceeding the quota of 11,812 by 1,362 and Calleary picking up 13,097 votes.
Speaking to the
ahead of the decisive count, Dillon said: "I am very humbled and grateful for the Mayo electorate placing their trust in me - it is an incredible result."I'm privileged to be given the honour to return to Dáil Éireann for a second term. I want to continue to deliver for the people of Mayo and ensure progress for our county."
Calleary, who spoke to the
yesterday, said he was "very pleased" with the outcome and thanked the people for putting their trust in him once again.Two more seats are to be filled, with Fine Gael's Keira Keogh in a strong position to take one with Alan Dillon's surplus being distributed for the ninth count.
Paul Lawless (Aontú), Mark Duffy (FG) and Patsy O'Brien (NP) are also battling to take a seat.
