There was another callout recently for Ballyglass RNLI inshore lifeboat, when they were called to a boat that was caught by the ebbing tide in the channel close to Belmullet in Broadhaven Bay.

The volunteer crew assessed the vessel on arrival on the scene. The boat was anchored and the crewman was taken ashore, all safe and sound. The lifeboat launched at 10.50am for service at 1125. Helm was PJ Walker and crew Ryan Geraghty and Kyle Geraghty. Well done to all involved.

Remember to take all precautions when on or near the water. If you see someone/water craft in difficulty dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
