Ballina school set to benefit from several new classrooms

Alan Dillon TD has confirmed that St. Muredach’s College, Ballina will receive a number of new classrooms.
In a social media post, Dillon said: "I am pleased to receive confirmation from the Department of Education that a number of new classrooms have been approved for St. Muredach’s College, Ballina under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme."
The extra approved classrooms include:
- 2 woodwork rooms
- Preparation room
- Home Economics room
- Art room
- 2 Storerooms
- 2 Special Education rooms
- The reconfiguration of two old woodwork rooms to provide a music room and a mainstream classroom.
Dillon added: "This is significant progress in a project that the school have been waiting on for some time.
"I have been in regular contact with Principal Wayne Walsh and have been happy to work alongside him, his Board of Management and staff in relation to this.
"I want to wish them the best of luck with this project going forward and have no doubt it will be a welcome addition to the school community."
