Three people have been taken to hospital following a fire that broke out at a house in Galway city this morning. The blaze broke out at a home in the Wellpark area shortly after 5am this morning.

Iarnród Éireann has announced that it has awarded a €24 million contract for the major redevelopment of Ceannt Station in Galway, with works to get underway in next month.
