Meelick Card results

Results of the games played on Tuesday, January 20. Swinford GAA 2026 Registration now open

Adult players and parents/guardians of underage players are asked to please register players as soon as possible. Players cannot attend any training sessions or use gym if not registered. Membership is open to all; parents/guardians and to the wider community. Please sign up and support the club. Limited offer options to subscribe to Swinford GAA 50/50 draw in a value bundle to include membership. Family discounts also. Membership deadline is March 31, 2026. Please note that any person that is involved with the club as a coach, manager, executive committee member must register on Foireann by the above deadline.

KCC 25 Card Game

25 card game is held on Monday nights in Killasser Community Centre at 8pm. Beginners are welcome and the cost is €4 per night. Please contact Geraldine at 085 156 5150 to join a WhatsApp group.

Results of Swinford Community Lotto draw held on January 19, had the numbers 4, 8, 20 and 26 drawn. There was no jackpot winner. €70 vouchers were won by David J. Langford, Tulleague, Killasser and The Durkan Family, Meelick; €35 was won by Siobhan Jennings, c/o Tara Café, Chris O'Neill, Fraunhill and Sheila Callaghan, The Rise. The jackpot is now €11,200.

Golf Card results

Results from game played in Swinford Golf Club on January 15, are as follows: card winner’s 1st Tom Durkan and Chris Garrett, 2nd Philip Irwin and Brian McNulty, 3rd shared by Eileen Geraghty, Noreen Geraghty, Matt Duggan and Margaret Waters. Raffle prizes were won by Marty Munnelly, Esther Munnelly, Annie McNeela and Brian McNulty. Game continues every Thursday night at 9pm.

Golf Club draw

Results of Swinford Golf Club Development Draw held on Friday, January 16; €1000 went to Ronan Monaghan, €300 was won by Western Pharmaceutical Ballina and €200 was won by Joe Mellett. The next draw will take place on February 7.

Camino Walk information night to discuss the proposed Camino Walk to Santiago in early June - walking the Portuguese Camino route - will be held on Wednesday, January 28, at 7.30pm in The Novel Bean, Swinford, F12XF60. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The CraobhEo Woodturners 2026 Annual one day seminar will take place on Saturday, February 28, in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford. Jim Stevens and Sean McGann will be the guest demonstrators. Sing a Song with Bridie

St. Patrick’s Day 2026

The Swinford St. Patrick’s Day committee extends a big thank you to all who came out to the AGM on Monday, January 19. Swinford’s annual parade is in its 74th successful year and will be held on St Patrick’s Day at 3pm. The 2026 theme is Irish Myths, Legends and Folklore. The parade is open to all clubs, organisations, schools, businesses and individuals to participate. The more floats the better the day is. U16 girls’ training is back

U16 ladies football training has resumed on Friday’s. Swinford Killasser LGFA would love to welcome any girls born in 2010 or 2011 to come along and join them. Whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new to football, everyone is welcome. It is a great chance to learn new skills, make friends, and have fun in a supportive team environment. Training takes place in Swinford Amenity Park on Friday at 7pm in the Astro Pitch. Bring runners/boots, water, and a great attitude, and feel free to bring a friend too.

Swinford Community Games AGM will take place on Thursday, February 5, in the Amenity Park at 8pm. Volunteers are needed to help run the events this year. Please support and all are welcome.
