Ireland call-up for Ballina native
Ballina native Fergal Birrane has been called up to the Irish DS Futsal team for the SUDS European Championships in Italy this summer.
The Sligo Rovers player is the only Connacht based player in the Irish squad.
He is joined by squadmates from Armagh, Cork, Derry, Donegal, Dublin, Louth, Meath and Waterford.
It is a huge achievement for Fergal and the news has been well received in his native Ballina.
