Ballina Salmon Festival: Exciting musical acts confirmed for Heritage Day

Laura Jo is an acclaimed Irish vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who will be performing in Ballina on National Heritage Day.
Some of Ireland’s best musicians have been confirmed for National Heritage Day, which takes place this year in Ballina on Wednesday, July 16.
Heritage Day is a long-running festival staple and on top of nostalgic displays and a welcoming atmosphere, it has consistently seen brilliant musical performances and this year will be no different.
The main musical attraction for this year’s celebrations is the phenomenal NxNW (North by North West). The dynamic quartet is made up of four of Ireland’s top musicians - Ryan Molloy on piano, David Doocey on fiddles and strings, Stephen Doherty on flutes and box and Kieran Leonard on drums and percussion.
Together, they bring a powerful, genre-blending sound that is as exciting as it is unforgettable. Each member has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Seán Keane, Clannad and Cian Ducrot.
They will be joined by a special guest vocalist. Laura Jo is an acclaimed Irish vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has toured over 40 countries. Her solo career took off in 2018, with hits like
and , the latter winning the Wildcard Award at the 2023 A New Local Hero Awards. She has performed on and at Trafalgar Square's St Patrick's Day celebrations.NxNW and Laura Jo will be playing on the Main Stage at the Post Office at 3pm on Heritage Day.
A wide variety of acts performing across multiple stages throughout Ballina will be announced in the coming days as the countdown continues to National Heritage Day.
