N17 reopens following two-car collision

Two people have been hospitalised following a crash between a car and a truck on the N17 at Gortnagunned, Co. Galway, on Sunday evening.
The crash occurred at approximately 8.35pm.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
The driver of the truck, also a man in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Galway as a precaution.
The road has since reopened.
Gardaí say enquiries are ongoing.
