U16s girls win again

Well done to the Kilglass Enniscrone Utd FC U16 girls who made it back to back league wins when they defeated Calry Bohs 5-2 in Michael McGowan Park, Enniscrone. The home side started very strong and on the 10th minute saw a great pass ftrom Kayden Gordon into the feet of Tara Arthur who finished calmly into the bottom corner. Five minutes later the home side went 2-0 up when KEUFC’s keeper Caitlin Starrs played a super ball from inside her own 18 yard box which bounced over Calry’s defender into the path of the oncoming run of Laoise Carden who also finished calmly into the back of the net and on the 22nd minute the hardworking Eabha McHale made it 3-0 and just before the half time whistle Calry replied with a goal of their own. Half time score was 3-1.

The second half saw much the same with the homeside dominating possession and limiting Calry to very little chances. On the 59th minutes Laoise Carden got her 2nd of the game the KEUFC’s 4th goal when a brilliantly stuck shot found the back of the Calry net. Calry never gave up and got their 2nd goal on the 73rd minute. Later Tara Arthur played a great pass into the path of Kayden Gordon who hammered home her shot and saw the homeside run out 5-2 winners.
