Last Tuesday, the Kilmaine U14 girls staged a remarkable second half comeback to edge visiting Westport on a full-time score-line of 3-7 to 2-9. Westport were the better team during the first half and at the break the West Mayo outfit held a healthy 2-5 to 1-2 advantage.
However, following the half-time pep-talks, Kilmaine produced a spellbinding second half display where they battled for every inch of possession, and in the end powered their way to a slender one point victory. Well done to all involved. Kilmaine will now face Charlestown in the final on Friday, June 14, with a venue and throw-in time yet to be confirmed.
