Hard luck to the Claremorris senior football team who lost their Mayo Senior Football Championship Round 2 clash against Charlestown Sarsfields on a scoreline of 2-13 to 0-15. With their opening round loss to Ballaghaderreen, Claremorris are now out of the Mayo SFC.
However, it’s been a year that can bode well for the future as a lot of young players got a taste of senior action with the likes of the Hurleys, Dara and Niall, Paul Gilmore and Adam Beirne, who is fourth top-scorer in the 2023 Mayo SFC with a tally of 0-12.
The lads will play their final game in the Mayo SFC against reigning champions Westport in Breaffy at 2pm on Sunday next.
Please support the lads as they aim to stay up in senior for 2024.
