The countdown is officially on to one of the biggest family days out in the North West as the Enniscrone & District Agricultural & Industrial Show returns on Sunday 5th July 2026 at the spectacular Castleconnor Sports Complex. This year’s show promises to be bigger, better and more exciting than ever before!

A true summer highlight for families, farming enthusiasts, music lovers, exhibitors and visitors of all ages, the 2026 Enniscrone Show is shaping up to be a jam-packed day bursting with entertainment, competition, music, food and fun from morning until late.

One of the biggest new additions for 2026 is the introduction of the spectacular Big Top Tent — set to become the beating heart of the showgrounds throughout the day. This huge covered entertainment arena will host all live music performances and feature a fully covered dance floor, ensuring the music and dancing continues all day long no matter what the Irish weather decides to do!

As organisers say: “We can never plan the weather… but we can surely plan the entertainment!” And entertainment there certainly will be.

Taking to the stage throughout the day will be an incredible line-up of live music acts including crowd favourite Derek Ryan alongside David James, Kelly’s Heroes and Pat’s Country Roadshow, guaranteeing a lively atmosphere and dancing from start to finish. The Big Top Tent promises to bring an electric atmosphere and is expected to be one of the standout attractions of this year’s event. And not to forget our annual Jiving competition, it will sure go down a treat under this Big Top Tent!

For thrill seekers, local stunt rider Evan Mullarkey will return with his jaw-dropping stunt bike show, thrilling crowds with daring tricks, precision riding and high-energy action displays that are sure to stop visitors in their tracks.

Another fan favourite making a welcome return is the ever-entertaining lawnmower racing from the Northern Ireland Lawnmower Racing Association, bringing noise, excitement and plenty of laughs to the show field.

Animal lovers will also be spoiled for choice with the hugely popular Newport Sheepdog demonstrations showcasing incredible skill, teamwork and traditional countryside heritage that continues to captivate audiences year after year.

The Enniscrone Show has long been renowned for celebrating rural life and community spirit, and 2026 will once again feature a huge variety of competition classes and exhibits. Entries are open across all categories - cattle, horses, sheep, dogs, poultry, horticulture and home industries, offering something for every member of the family to get involved in. Whether you are an experienced exhibitor or entering for the very first time, the show committee encourages everyone to take part and become part of the tradition.

Join us from 2–3pm for a fantastic live baking demonstration with Dee Freney, winner of RTÉ Today’s TV Home Cook 2026. Dee will be sharing her passion for gluten-free baking, creating delicious treats while offering plenty of tips and inspiration along the way. Whether you’re an experienced baker or simply enjoy good food, this entertaining and informative demonstration is sure to be a highlight of the day.

Vintage enthusiasts will also be well catered for with vintage displays expected to draw crowds from across the region, while trade stands and food vendors will fill the grounds with everything from local crafts and agricultural products to delicious treats and ice cream stands.

Families with young children are in for an unforgettable experience with the return of the hugely popular Kids Zone — a massive dedicated entertainment area designed especially for children of all ages. Entry to the Kids Zone is just €5 per child for the entire day, with unlimited come-and-go access throughout the event. Packed with activities, the Kids Zone will feature face painting, balloon modelling, large inflatables, bouncing castles, outdoor games, storytelling, golf activities, a “beach on the field,” and the hugely exciting Mini Messers messy play area catering for children from as young as 6 months old. With so much happening, it promises to keep little ones entertained for hours.

In another thoughtful addition for 2026, organisers are also introducing a brand-new Sensory Marquee — a calm and quiet space designed for those who may need a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the busy showgrounds.

Music lovers and aspiring performers are also being encouraged to enter the exciting Busking Competition, where one talented act will walk away with a €200 prize. Entry forms can be requested by emailing pro@enniscroneshow.ie, and organisers are encouraging musicians of all ages to get involved.

Adding even more family fun to the day, Kiltimagh Pet Farm will be on site with a wonderful variety of animals for children and adults alike to hold, pet and admire — always a massive hit with younger visitors.

With thousands expected to attend, organisers say the Enniscrone Show 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most exciting shows in recent years.

From dancing and live music to livestock competitions, vintage displays, delicious food, thrilling entertainment and endless activities for children, the Enniscrone Show truly offers something for everyone.

Then why not conclude your fantastic day out at Muddy Burns Bar & Restaurant for the show dance with music by Ciaran Rosney.

Mark the date in your diary now — Sunday 5th July 2026 — because this is one family day out you will not want to miss!
