Three arrests made in investigation into violent incident in Co Limerick

Three males have been arrested as part of an investigation into a violent incident in Kilcoole, near Rathkeale, Co Limerick, in August.
Shortly after 6.30pm on August 21st, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle being rammed and an altercation in the area.
During the incident, a firearm was discharged, and a man in his 40s was injured. He was treated at University Hospital Limerick.
Gardaí attached to the Crime Functional Area in Limerick conducted a planned operation in the Rathkeale area on Wednesday, October 1st.
During the operation, three individuals were arrested. All three are male, aged in their mid-teens, 20s and 40s.
They are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at garda stations in Co Limerick.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident on August 21st to come forward.
Road users with camera footage, including dash cam, who were travelling in the Kilkcoole and greater Rathkeale areas between 6.15pm and 7.30pm on Thursday, August 21st, have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
