In a vital game for both teams, the Republic of Ireland women take on Poland in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier.

After two late defeats in their first two games, Carla Ward's side is aiming for their first win of the campaign in Poland this evening.

It is the first of a double-header, with Ireland hosting Poland in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

While both sides are guaranteed a play-off, the higher the finish, the better the draw they will get for the play-offs to get to Brazil net summer.

Despite two very encouraging performances, Ireland are without a point from their opening two games.

Two 2-1 defeats to France and the Netherlands have Ireland at the bottom of the group, as they must be scratching their heads, wondering how they left both games with nothing.

Poland is just above Ireland in the group, with a 2-2 draw against the Netherlands, followed by a 4-1 defeat to France.

Denise O'Sullivan is back from a knee injury and will bw fit to start, but midfielder Ruesha Littlejohn is out with an injury.

Lily Agg and Jessie Stapleton are also out with injuries.
