Mick Duffy has been appointed as the new manager of Ballina Town's Super League team

Ballina Town FC have announced the appointment of Mick Duffy as the new manager of the Super League team.

Duffy previously enjoyed a stint as manager of the club's Super League team from 2017 to 2019 where he led them to three consecutive Mayo Super Cups and the Super League title in 2018, the club's last to date.

Club chairman Simon Beale said he would like to wish Mick all the best in his new role.

“We are delighted to have Michael back at Ballina Town," he stated. "We have wonderful memories from his time playing and managing previously. He has great experience built up as a coach and manager, and we look forward to seeing how the players respond to him.”

Mr Beale also thanked Trevor Nash and Aidan Cowan for stepping in to help with the club's Super League team earlier this year through to the end of the Mayo Football League season, leading them to the Westaro and Super Cup finals and third place in the Super League table.
