Mayo Super League club set to name joint-management team

Elverys Sports Super League side Manulla are set to announce a joint-management side for next season, the Western People understands.

It is understood Roger Clarke and Andrew Shally will be in charge of the side, with Shally in a player-coach capacity. Gary Heneghan and Damien Joyce make up the remainder of the management team.

They will take over from Aidan Dunleavy, who stepped down at the end of the season after guiding the club to safety.

All four men have served the club with distinction. Clarke is a legendary figure within the club, winning three league titles during a golden period for Manulla in the 1990s. Shally, who returned to the club earlier this year after a stint at Ballina Town, provides leadership on and off the pitch and played an important role in the club's final league games of last season.

A number of other clubs in the Super League remain on the hunt for a permanent manager, with Kiltimagh/Knock United, Ballinrobe Town and Westport United all looking to fill their vacancies.
