Mayo school book place in FAI Cup Final

Balla Secondary School sealed their spot in an FAI Cup Final following victory this afternoon.

Balla Secondary School put in a tremendous performance to advance to the FAI Schools Minor ‘B’ Boys National Cup Final.

The Balla boys  Largy College, Clones, by a 4-1 scoreline earlier this afternoon in Ray McSharry Park, Sligo.

Ryan Cunningham made the breakthrough for Balla on 11 minutes and were unfortunate not add a second four minutes later as Dylan Dunne scored on the half-volley from a Cunningham free-kick but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Largy equalized through a lovely finish by Aidan McFarland on 16 minutes but Balla were back in front a minute later through Dylan Dunne.

Balla could start dreaming when Ryan Judge scored their third after squeezing in a shot from an acute angle before Dunne added a second goal in the second half to send them into the decider where they will meet either Castleisland Community College or Grange CC, Donaghmede on Wednesday, May 1.
