The date, time and venue for Castlebar Celtic’s historic FAI Cup second tie has been announced.
The Hoops will play League of Ireland First Division side Longford Town in Celtic Park on Sunday, July 20, with kick-off time at 5pm.
Celtic manager Stevie Gavin previously enjoyed a spell as a player with the club and a large crowd is expected in the county town for what will be a memorable occasion.
The relentless Celtic machine has continued to move forward this season. They retained the Connacht Cup last month after defeating Mervue United 1-0 in the final while they are on course to win a third Super League title in a row, maintaining their 100% record with a 3-0 win over Conn Rangers yesterday (Thursday) evening to make it eleven wins from eleven league games.
They are also in Mayo Super Cup quarter-final action this Sunday at 11am, with Glenhest Rovers the opposition.
