Castlebar Celtic, along with Conn Rangers, are the only sides left with a 100% record in the Super League after beating rivals Westport United 2-0 in the ‘Mayo El Clasico’ last Sunday afternoon.
Despite a good performance by United, it was Celtic’s killer instinct that was the difference as first half goals from Johnnie Cocozza and a Mark Cunningham penalty proved the difference for Stevie Gavin and Declan Flynn’s side. The two sides will clash again in the Benson Cup this Friday evening.

In the Erris derby, Kilmore triumphed 2-1 over Iorras Aontaithe in Drum. Guilherme de Souza and Mark Gilbert put Kilmore in front, with Cillian Reilly pulling one back. At the other end of the table, Ballina Town ‘B’ made it four from after a brace from Shane Devers helped them to a 2-0 derby win against Conn Rangers ‘B’.
Snugboro United dropped their first points after Kiltimagh Knock United ‘B’ came back from 3-1 down to earn a draw while Swinford put seven past Partry Athletic, Robert Jordan and Aidan Dunleavy both bagging a brace.
