Super Saturday in store for Mayo county teams
It is set to be a busy Saturday as four Mayo county teams are in action across the country.
First up, the U17 hurlers take on Meath in the semi-finals of the Celtic Challenge. After an impressive away victory over Donegal last weekend, Mayo will be aiming to continue their winning streak and secure a place in the final.
Throw-in at Trim GAA club is scheduled for 1pm.
The U17 footballers travel to Kinnegad tomorrow to take on Down in the preliminary quarter-finals of the Tier 2 U17 Football championship. Manager Diarmuid Byrne and his squad will be hoping to bounce back and return to winning form following a disappointing Connacht campaign.
Throw-in at Kinnegad GAA Club is also set for 1pm.
The under-20 ladies continue with their championship campaign with a trip to Navan to face Meath.
It is a second game for Meath in the competition, and a third for Mayo.
Mayo have lost both of their previous outings, while Meath are also looking to get off the mark. Throw-in is at 2pm in Beactive GFC.
Finally, the Mayo senior camogie team get their championship adventure underway as they take on Louth in Round 1 of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Junior Championship.
After winning Division 3B earlier this year, Mayo will be hoping to complete a league and championship double
Throw-in is at 3.30pm in Adrian Freeman Park, Tooreen.
