Woman (80s) dies in Mayo road traffic accident
The roundabout was the scene of a recent accident.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred at Glebe Street, Ballinrobe, on Thursday 20th August, 2026 at approximately 4.20pm.
This collision involved a car and a pedestrian.
The female pedestrian (aged in her 80’s) was conveyed from the scene to Mayo General Hospital. She has since passed away from her injuries.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area of the N84 / Glebe Street, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo between 3.50pm and 4.50pm on Thursday 20th August, 2026 are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
