Ballyvary Blue Bombers won the U17 Girls Connacht Shield following a penalty shoot-out against Ballyglass on Saturday.
The all-Mayo final was played in Lecarrow, Co Roscommon, where Ballyvary looked to be heading to a 1-0 victory with three minutes left on the clock.
But a persistent Ballyglass had other ideas, sending the game to extra time before ultimately bowing out 4-1 on penalties.
The Bombers got themselves off to the perfect start when Caoimhe McHale scored in the eighth minute.
Over the course of the game both sides created chances and as the minutes counted down it was Ballyglass who finally made the breakthrough when Holly Donovan chipped the oncoming 'keeper in the 87th minute.
With extra time failing to separate the sides, the title was decided from the spot where Ballyvary converted four to their opponent's one.
Elsewhere in the provincial competitions, Manulla, at home, beat Kilkerrin United on penalties in the second round of the Connacht Women's Shield to progress.
