Warning issued over bogus traders targeting Ballina homes

A warning has been issued to the public in Ballina of alleged bogus traders operating in the area.

Ballina Gardaí have said they are aware of a number of reports of alleged bogus traders operating on residential properties in the Ballina area over the last number of days.

“We are advising members of the public to always exercise caution when liaising with cold callers to their home offering professional trade services,” they said.

“Should you have any concerns or suspect that bogus callers or tradespeople are in your area, please contact us here in Ballina Garda Station on 096-20560, or alternatively contact your local Garda station.”
