Mayo County Council have said that an advisory warning is to remain in place at a popular North Mayo bathing location.
The Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim notice is to remain in place at Belmullet Tidal Pool and Shore Road Belmullet until further notice as resampling is taking place.
The notice was first served last Wednesday for both Shore Road, Belmullet and the Belmullet Tidal Pool.
The closure was put in place due to poor water quality in the tidal pool, with resampling due to take place to re-evaluate the quality before allowing swimmers to enter again.
The advisory, which was also shared on social media by Belmullet Tidal Pool, comes amid fears that high tides could further affect water quality in the pool.
