Two flights scheduled to land at Ireland West Airport Knock this morning have been impacted.
In a statement from the airport, it was said that, "heavy fog conditions were experienced at the airport this morning between 7.30am and 9am, which resulted in visibility falling below levels permitted to facilitate landing aircraft at Ireland West Airport. This has had an impact on this morning's flight schedule.
"Our morning services from London Stansted and Barcelona Girona were unable to land and have diverted to Dublin and Shannon airports, respectively.
"Our 8:30am services from Milan Bergamo and Liverpool landed at 9am, and the outbound services to London Stansted and Girona subsequently departed just after 11am.
"The airport expects a full schedule to operate for the remainder of the day."
