Culture Night celebration
Crossmolina came alive for Culture Night on Friday, September 18 last, bringing the community together for a brilliant celebration of local heritage.
The evening featured fantastic performances from local musicians and vibrant traditional dancing, highlighted by a lively appearance from the Deel Strawboys. Guests also enjoyed delicious, freshly made local boxty, making it a wonderful night of music, flavour, and community spirit.
Crossmolina Community Council CLG thank everyone who performed and came out to support.
Lotto
There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night, September 19, when it was held in Sticks Bar. The numbers drawn were 3, 6, 30 and 34.
There was no match three numbers either and three tickets were drawn by Karen Hegarty, Lecarrow, Crossmolina; Edel Deane, Ballycarroon, Crossmolina; and Kevin Reilly, Ballina, and they won €50 each.
The jackpot in the draw held on Saturday, September 26 was €8,550.

County Champions
Congratulations to the young footballers of Ardleathmaigh (an amalgamation of Ardagh, Lahardane and Moygownagh) who clinched the Mayo GAA U16B football championship title in magnificent style when defeating Kiltimagh on a 5-14 to 2-12 scoreline.
Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, was the venue last week for this enthralling encounter which produced an array of numerous moments of magical endeavour. Pride of place must go to Ardleathmaigh’s captain, Conor Carey, who scored a whopping 4-10 of his team’s 5-14 tally.
Conor’s display throughout the contest was a joy to behold with flashes of innate ability, ingenuity and pure class ably assisted by his proficient teammates who displayed grit, determination and sheer commitment throughout the memorable contest.
Kudos to the whole team and their management of Barry Leonard, JD McDonnell and Paddy Walsh. A memorable occasion and a memorable result. Well done to all involved.
Lotto
There was no outright winner of Ardagh GAA Club’s monthly lotto draw held last week. Congratulations to Sean Langton, winner of €50 and Vivienne Caden, €50 online winner. The numbers drawn were 8, 12, 18 and 28.
The club wishes to thank everyone who has purchased annual tickets and all those who play the monthly lotto draw online. The next monthly lotto draw will take place on Sunday, October 11, and the jackpot now stands at €6,500.
AGM
Just a reminder that the annual general meeting of Ardagh Community Council takes place tonight (Tuesday, September 29) in the community centre at 8pm and all are welcome to attend.
Mass times
As of Saturday next, October 3, vigil Mass will be celebrated at the new time of 7pm for the winter months. Sunday Mass times remain at 11am.
Parish Priest, Fr. Pat Munnelly, will undertake his monthly house calls to parishioners next Friday, October 2, starting at 11am.

Cèide Coast Run
Ballycastle Athletic Club sincerely thank all the participants, sponsors and volunteers for their support in making the Céide Coast Run a great success. Well done to all and to the members of the Athletic Club for organising this great event.
Change of date
Lacken Tractor Run will now take place on Sunday, October 4. Registration at Lacken Sensory Garden at 12.30pm. The Tractor Run starts at 2pm.

Community Centre lotto
There was no jackpot winner on September 9 when the numbers drawn were 16, 21, 23 and 30.
Consolation prizes went to Mary Gallagher, Mary Murphy and Mary and Eugene Farrell.
The jackpot on the September 16, was €2,650 when the numbers drawn were 1, 10, 16 and 23. €20 consolation prizes went to Nonie McGee, Katie Ruddy and Martin Cronin.
The jackpot for September 23, was €2,700 when the numbers drawn were 5, 9, 12, and 19. Consolation prizes went to Katie Ruddy, Codie Barrett and Odhran and Haze Flannelly.
The jackpot this week is €2,750.

Parish Council
Moygownagh Parish Council and the parishioners of Moygownagh welcome Fr Ger Moore to the parish and wish him every success during his time there. They would also like to extend best wishes to Fr Matt for a peaceful, healthy and blessed retirement, and thank him for his work over the last five years.
Daria’s Daycare
Daria’s Daycare thank the wonderful Rural Social Scheme and Community Employment Scheme workers who gave their time and hard work over the summer to paint the playschool and outside activity area. The difference is fantastic. Everything looks fresh, bright and welcoming.
GAA
The Homeland U15 Autumn League Division 3 game will be held on October 1, with Naomh Padraig v Ardleathmaigh at 6pm in Killala.
Congratulations to Callum, Adam and Conal and all the Ardleathnamaigh U16 team on winning their county final.
Set Dancing
