Top marks: Mayo students achieve impressive Leaving Cert results

Gortnor Abbey Secondary School in Crossmolina celebrated some fantastic Leaving Cert results.
In a statement, the school said it was "so proud of our Class of '24".
"Your outstanding results are a testament to your hard work and dedication. You are a credit to your parents, teachers and school community. We wish you all every happiness on the next part of your journey."
A special congratulations were extended to Peter Barrett who achieved a maximum 625 CAO points, while Casey Conlon, Kealan Dyra and Siofra Hughes all exceeded 600 points.
The school also congratulated its students who participated in the hugely successful Leaving Cert Applied programme.
"Leaving Cert Applied allows students to achieve success through a more practical option, emphasising achievement and excellence while offering an opportunity to prepare for and progress to further education and training. Best of luck to all our LCA students, you will be missed by the whole school community."
