U13’s secure win

The Kilglass Enniscrone Utd U13A team travelled to a top of the table clash under lights last week against Yeats, with winner securing top place in the Champions Cup Group B. The first half was a really good even game. Yeats took the lead when Harry Quinn blasted in a volley from a corner. They started slowly but got their passing game going, and a lovely move back to front released Finn Connor down the wing and his cross was turned in by Brendan O’Meara.

A few tactical changes at half time and the KEUFC lads stepped it up and dominated the 2nd half. They hit the posts, goal line clearances and found the goalie from Yeats in top form but eventually they got a breakthrough when Tom Deehan volleyed home from the edge of the box. The defence marshalled well by Corey Hallinan and Sean Forde kept Yeats chances to a minimum. Cian Corcoran scored a 3rd goal with ten minutes to go and then also headed in a Corey Hallinan corner late on to secure the 4-1 win.
