Stark weather warning issued for north Mayo tomorrow

Met Eireann have issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for North Mayo tomorrow.

They have said that heavy rainfall will lead to localised flooding. The warning is valid from 6am to 9pm tomorrow, Friday, December 29th.

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow Thunderstorm warning is in place for all five Connacht counties today.

Met Eireann have said there will be scattered thunderstorms with lightning activity expected. There is also a possibility of hail.

Met said there may be power outages and localised flooding as a result of today's weather. They added that travelling conditions will be hazardous.

The Status Yellow warning is valid until 9pm tonight (Thursday, December 28th).

The warning is also in place in Donegal and Munster.

A Status Yellow wind warning remains in place in Mayo until 6am on Friday.
