Sadness following recent Ballina deaths

Michael Cahalan
The death has taken place of Michael Cahalan, Convent Hill Crescent, Ballina and Turloughmore, Galway.
Michael was the beloved husband of Anne, dearly loved father of Brendan and Paul, cherished father-in-law of Patricia and Irene, and adored grandfather of Daire, Lauren, Conall, Aoibhinn and Crevan.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters Marie and Anne, brothers Patsy, Murt and Seamus, grandaunt Kathleen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, godchildren, extended family, neighbours and his many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Mary.
Michael’s Funeral Mass was celebrated in the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh, Co Galway, with burial afterwards in New Cemetery, Bohermore.
Desmond Langan
The death has taken place of Desmond (Dessie) Langan, Derreen, Knockanillaun, Ballina.
Dessie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken family, including sister Carmel, brothers Joe and Michael, brother-in-law Brendan, sisters-in-law Joan and Geraldine, and nieces and nephews Sharon, Paul, Kenneth, Michelle, David and Lorraine. Also by his best friends Cora, Seán and Páidí, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Kathleen, aunts, uncles and members of the Cassidy and Langan families.
Dessie reposed at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law Carmel and Brendan Hughes, Knockanillaun.
Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Ardagh, Ballina on Monday of last week, with burial afterwards in Ardagh Cemetery.
Teresa Foody
The death has taken place of Teresa Foody (née Loughney), Gurteens, Ballina.
Teresa was the beloved wife of Pat and dear mother to Lorraine Fehily, Ian, Kenneth, Joe, Alan and Edel Cleary.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, in-laws, relatives, neighbours and friends.
She was predeceased by her grandson Shane.
Teresa reposed at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina on Wednesday last. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Ballina on Thursday, followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
