A Mayo GAA club is counting the cost of Storm Eowyn after the roof of its stand collapsed. The stand of McGovern Park in Newport, home to Burrishoole GAA, saw its roof ripped apart by the force of the winds.

Connacht GAA’s multi-million euro air dome has been destroyed by the high winds of Storm Éowyn. The record-breaking winds tore the inflated roof off the structure at around 4am this morning.
