Popular Mayo parish priest to celebrate retirement mass this weekend

All are warmly invited to a retirement mass for Fr Tommy Johnson, which will be held in St James’ Church, Charlestown on Sunday, July 27 at 6pm and to refreshments afterwards in the CBD Sports Complex.
It will be a happy but poignant occasion as Fr Tommy steps away from his official duties after some twenty-two years serving the parish in the best way he knows how.
He was a thorough gentleman who executed his duties in a very professional and dignified manner, and there’s sure to be a large crowd in attendance to bid farewell to a good man in every sense of the word.
