Online videos about Mayo prove a big hit

A UK television presenter has been attracting a lot of attention to Mayo by posting YouTube videos as he explores the Wild Atlantic Way.
Cllr Harry Barrett told members of Castlebar Municipal District last week that he had seen some of the videos posted of Mayo by Timmy Mallet and they were “very good and very successful”.
“Was that paid?”, he asked the district manager David Mellett.
Mr Mellett replied: “It just popped up in one of our feeds. We brought it to the attention of our communications team in the council and they linked in with him. He was doing the Wild Atlantic Way and posting videos as he went.”
