Mayo Roads Policing Unit have been carrying out speed checkpoints throughout the county over the bank holiday weekend.
In one instance, a motorcyclist received a fixed charge penalty notice consisting of three penalty points and a 160euro fine for exceeding the 100km/h speed limit.
A number of vehicles have also been seized during the Road Safety Campaign, including a vehicle that tried to avoid a Garda checkpoint.
The vehicle was stopped, and the driver had no driving licence or insurance. The vehicle also had no working reverse gear and was seized at the scene.
An Garda Síochána say court proceedings will follow.
