Motorist with no NCT caught driving at over 200 km/hr on Mayo road

Mayo Roads Policing Unit carried out a speed Checkpoint recently on the N5 in Charlestown.
A motorist was detected travelling at a speed of 204kph in a 100kph zone.
The NCT had also expired by 14 months, and the vehicle was impounded.
The motorist was subsequently arrested and charged for Dangerous Driving and will soon be before the courts.
