Mayo school make new appointment

Suzanne Lohan is the new deputy principal of St Colman's College, Claremorris.

St. Colman’s College, Claremorris, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Suzanne Lohan as its new Deputy Principal. She succeeds Ms Maria Byrne, who has become Deputy Principal at Calasanctius College, Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Ms Lohan, originally from county Roscommon, attended Scoil Mhuire in Strokestown. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway, followed by a Professional Diploma in Education from NUI Galway. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in School Leadership from the University of Limerick.

With 21 years of teaching experience, Ms Lohan began her career teaching Accounting, Business, and Maths at Ballinamore Community School, Co Leitrim. She later taught at Ballyhaunis Community School and Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown.

Ms Lohan is looking forward to working closely with the Principal, Roy Hession, the dedicated staff and students, and the entire school community.
