Mayo motorists detected driving well above the speed limit during bank holiday weekend

Mayo Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checks on Mayo roads over the St Patrick’s weekend.
On the N5 and N17, two motorists were detected travelling well over the 100 km/h speed limit, above 140km/hr, resulting in a 160 euro fine and 3 penalty points.
An Garda Síochána Mayo stated: "Slow down and drive to the conditions."
