Mayo industrial park is in 'horrendous' condition

A Mayo councillor has urged that action be taken to ensure that businesses take up residence in a local development park.
Cllr Adrian Forkan has expressed concern over the current state of Swinford Industrial Park, which he described as "horrendous".
"It's in a horrendous state. Something has to be done or else it is going to turn into a dump, we have to get businesses in there if at all possible," he told last week's meeting of Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District.
Cllr Forkan also welcomed the allocation of €500,000 for the resurfacing of the Kilkelly Road (R375) in Swinford.
