Mayo included in latest Met Éireann Status Orange weather warning

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange Thunderstorm warning for Mayo.

This comes after a Status Yellow Thunderstorm warning was issued for Connacht earlier today.
The new weather warning also includes Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo as the counties that could be affected by very heavy downpours and potentially large hail.
Potential impacts include flash flooding, very difficult travelling conditions with poor visibility and damage to power lines.
Met Éireann has advised that the Status Orange warning is in place from 3pm on Monday (May 20) to 9pm tonight.
