Mayo General Election 2024: Tallies, first count time and how things stand

We currently sit in Castlebar's TF Royal Theatre with this scene below us as we await information on when the first count will be.

Word is that the first count could be between 5.30pm and 7pm this evening but we will keep you updated on that through our
.It has been a busy morning, having had the final tally counts from each electoral area.
The three outgoing TDs have polled strongly as they aim to retain their seats.
Sinn Féin's Rose Conway-Walsh topped the tally poll with 10,111 votes, while Fine Gael's Alan Dillon picked up 9,431 votes and Fianna Fáil's Dara Calleary had 8,500 votes.
It looks like it will be a battle for the final two seats with a number of candidates in the frame.
