COMMUNITY NOTES: CARRA - WESTERN PEOPLE (SEPTEMBER 3 EDITION)
Minister of State Alan Dillon recently announced that Tuar Mhic Éadaigh (Tourmakeady) is set to receive €50,000 to explore the repurposing of the former Coláiste Connacht into a Smart Village and Cultural Innovation Hub.
The project will include training resource rooms, digital hot-desk capabilities, and office spaces. The funding will enable the procurement of a multi-disciplinary design team to develop a comprehensive business case and create a project ready for construction.
It is welcome news indeed for the active go-ahead Gaeltacht village.
