COMMUNITY NOTES: ERRIS - WESTERN PEOPLE (OCTOBER 15 EDITION)

Congratulations to the team at Shevlin Engineering on getting the Structural Steelwork for Four Schools, Dublin and Meath project award in the Recreation and Education category at the 2024 Irish Steel Awards recently.

Shevlin Engineering undertook a significant project involving the structural steelwork for four schools: Stapolin, Ashbourne, Laytown, and Belmayne. This project, totalling 300 tonnes of steel, was a joint venture between OHLA and OHMG, with Shevlin Engineering serving as the Structural Steel Subcontractor.

Their responsibilities included detailing, fabricating, and erecting the roof structures with purlins, as well as the curtain wall steel and canopies.

Notably, all four schools ran concurrently in terms of the program, requiring seamless coordination and efficient resource management to meet the timelines.

The project was a testament to their expertise and ability to manage and execute large-scale structural steel projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and precision throughout the process. This venture not only showcased their technical capabilities but also their commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure through robust and reliable construction solutions.
