Mayo club gets permission for series of works to overhaul facilities
A Mayo soccer club have been granted planning permission by Mayo County Council for a series of works to overhaul their existing facilities.
Manulla FC, based outside the village situated 8km from Castlebar, were given the green light by the local authority for the improvement and upgrade works to their existing club facilities and grounds located at Carrowntober, Manulla.
The development will include the provision of three new electric vehicle charging points and the construction of a sensory garden.
The permission also includes an upgrade to the main entrance of Manulla FC, as well as the provision of a footpath, a cycle path, a covered bike store and additional car parking at the club grounds.
The proposed development includes work on playing areas such as upgrade works to a new training pitch, which includes the provision of floodlighting, ball-stop nets, boundary fencing, dugouts, new maintenance vehicle access and all associated works.
