The death has taken place in New York, USA, of William (Liam) O’Malley in the United States at the age of 100.
He was born on March 11, 1925, to William and Bridget (Lydon) O’Malley. Liam was one of 11 children and grew up in Tourmakeady before emigrating. Liam passed away peacefully on August 4.
He is deeply regretted by his sons Colm O’Malley (Lynn Ross) and John O’Malley (Wendy Blackstone), and is survived by his sister Peggy Heneghan, sisters-in-law Mary Hoban and Sr Betty Flannery, and the extended Flannery family to whom sincere sympathy is tendered. He was a well-loved uncle to the O’Malley, Heneghan, Durkin, Curtis and Daly families.
